Trending Futures (TF) is a discretionary trading system managed by an experienced trader. We trade various hard commodities markets. The goal of the system is to achieve
long term capital growth with limited and small draw downs in comparison to the overall account size.
Based on a combination of technical and fundamental data, Trending Futures is a swing system (holds a position overnight for multiple days). The system will hold a position for as many days as it takes to reach either profit targets or protective stop losses to be adjusted as necessary through the alerts that we send out.
All new positions are typically taken as market or stop market orders as traded through the electronic futures markets. How many open positions you may ask? Typically only quality setups are provided in a limited number. There are typically from 1 - 3 open positions at any given time. Depending on the trade setup, we may go into a new position with 1 - 3 contracts).
This may sound like a lot of contracts, but a quick review of our track record and you will find that in recent weeks we are typically in no more than 1 or 2 markets with only 1 or 2 contracts at a time. We don't need a lot of trades, nor a lot of risk, but rather well timed entries is our basic principle of our success to date.
Of course proper position sizing and account management is paramount to successful trading. Capital preservation is of the utmost importance. All positions once entered, include a risk protective stop loss, as well as limit order to lock in some profits once we get the move we are expecting then will trail a stop up as needed. Obviously not all trades will be profitable however, but quality vs quantity is the objective with precise trade management - stop losses, profit targets and / or trailing stops are always provided to our valued subscribers.
Once in a profitable position the objective is to scale with proper position sizing, and ride the overall trend until it appears that the move is at or near exhaustion or in the process of turning against us. We then look to exit by scaling out some or all of the position.
ATTENTION: $30K-$50K is the minimal recommended cash on hand with your broker to trade this system to avoid a potential margin call.
